One last summer of May 2012, my friends and I spent an overnight trip to an island resort at Guimaras. Excitement is a mutual feeling we had as when we see each other. We took a ferry boat trip from Valladolid to Barangay Cabalagnan, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. We pay 100 pesos each for the fare (that was last May's fare). It took us more than 2 hours of travel to reach Barangay Cabalagnan port terminal. Our travel is thrilling and interesting for we discover that there are many islands and islets along the way.A beautiful white sand view of islands and islets can be seen while we are having our trip. And to our great surprised the boat stop to an island. Curiously I asked the boat man, why we stop there. And he said, it is their SOP to drop by the islands on their way if there is a passenger. That is why we took a long hours of travel.

Previous Fare: 100pesos/head
Current Fare: 150pesos/head
We dock at the port of Barangay Cabalagnan, Nueva Valencia Guimaras at around 1:00 PM, while leave from Vallladolid port at exactly 10:30 AM. On the terminal there are many "Habal-habal", a motorcyle us for their means of transportation and a one passenger van wating for the ferry passengers. The fare for "habal-habal" ride depends on your destination. But we did not took the "haba-habal" because we had a service vehicle from the island resort as part of our package.
The passenger from ferry boat took a ride of what they called "Boaty",
a small flat boat with a row behind that drive it to move going to the
"Nauway Island" the first island we stop by

We reached our island destination at around 2:00 PM. The resort developer, Sir Art Alvarez welcome us with lunch personally prepared by him. My friends and I were overwhelmed by the warmest welcome of the resort staff. We ate our lunch, and right after we unpacked our things we did strolled around the small island. And there we can't stop ourselves but experienced the crystal clear water that surrounds the place.
Our way to the O'la Isla Entrada Guimaras. A fishing boat
ride with fishing net a.k.a. "pukot", used to catch fishes.
